Check on fact of bird's getting into aircraft engine during plane's landing in Penza begins

Penza, 12 February 2020. PenzaNews. A check was organized on the fact of a bird having hit the engine of an aircraft of S7 Airlines (Sibir Airlines JSC), which was carrying out flight No. 1195 from Moscow to Penza, when the aircraft was landing at its destination. This was reported by senior assistant of Volga Federal District transportation prosecutor on media and public relations Maya Ivanova.

She specified that the incident had occurred last Tuesday, February 11, at 18:55.
"At an altitude of about 15-20 meters, a bird, presumably the owl, hit a turbine of the left engine," the agency interlocutor said, adding that it had caused mechanical damage to the turbine blades.
Maya Ivanova stressed that the plane had landed in a normal mode.
"There were 62 passengers on board," she said.
