Penza, 30 October 2020. PenzaNews. 140 people died as a result of road accidents that occurred in Penza region in January-September 2020, which is 2.8% less compared to the same period in 2019. This is evidenced by data posted on the website of the State Inspection for Road Traffic Safety.

According to the information provided, the number of victims decreased by 11.8% to 1 618 people.

In just nine months of this year, 1 187 road accidents were registered in the region, which is 11% less than in January-September last year.

In September 2020, there were 161 accidents in Penza region, as a result of which 19 people died and 205 more received injuries of varying degrees of severity.

Compared to the first autumn month of 2019, the number of accidents decreased by 14.4%, the number of deaths remained at the same level, and the number of victims decreased by 23.5%.
