Forest fires over 11 hectares extinguished in Penza region over weeken

Penza, 17 May 2021. PenzaNews. Forest fires covering an area of 11.2 ha were extinguished in Nikolsky and Kuznetsky forest districts of Penza region last weekend. This was stated in a message of the press service of the Ministry of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management of the region.

“Employees of the forest fire centre and forestries were involved in extinguishing the fires,” the text specifies.

It notes that as of May 17, a total of 23 forest fires were extinguished in the region, with the area covered by the fire amounting to 82.2 ha.
