The IT professionals are invited to take part in 10 sections: five for parallel lectures, one for workshops, one for roundtable discussions and three for barcamps.
During the event, the audience will be voting for the best barcamp and the most active conference volunteer, along with a raffle for a Sony PlayStation.
In addition, the conference will be accompanied by opinion polls about the speeches presented at the event, which will be taken into account by organizers in the future.
Another remarkable feature of the event is the fact that each speaker will be available for head-to-head discussion in the expert zone on the second floor of the library after their speeches.
During the opening ceremony, the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev held a welcoming speech for the audience and highlighted the tight schedule and wide range of the events.
“I would like to tell you that development of the IT and software is the most crucial field and the most critical mission. We realize that development in any area of our society today is impossible without it,” stressed the head of the region.
He pointed out that the region has seen significant developments in this field over the past few years, and wished the audience to enjoy a productive day.
In turn, the deputy chairman of the regional government Valery Bespalov expressed his belief that “Secon” will become another step towards the transformation of the Penza region into a Silicon Valley of its own in the eyes of the public.
“I very much would like that to happen,” he added.
Moreover, Maxim Semenkin, chairman of Secon software developers association and head of CodeInside, thanked everybody who helped prepare for the event.
“We managed to make our program sufficiently attractive for a wide range of professionals in our field,” he stressed.
Also, Maxim Semenkin pointed out that this year’s conference also received the financial vote of confidence from the guests who bought tickets.
“This is very important for us, as you make a contribution to the conference,” he explained.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, the event is organized by Secon software developers association, with support by the Penza region Center of Cluster Development.
The main sponsors of “Secon-2016” are Bank Kuznetsky and Vygrom Media.
