Rostelecom to present WWII veterans free phone calls to speak with brothers-in-arms

Penza, 29 April 2016. PenzaNews. The Russian service provider Rostelecom presents veterans and former servicemen of the Second World War, including in the Penza region, an opportunity to call their brothers-in-arms, friends and relatives in Russian cities and countries of the near abroad entirely free of charge, as a gift for Victory Day celebrated on May 9.

The WWII veterans may receive up to 100 free minutes of voicecalls to fixed and mobile phone numbers in late April and early May for each of the three categories: inside their region; across Russia; and in the countries of the near abroad – Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Abkhazia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and South Ossetia.

In addition, between April 2 and May 10 in 2016 the veterans will be able to send telegrams to other cities of Russia the aforementioned countries of the near abroad free of charge, on order from their phones at the location of registration and at telegram stations.

In addition, veterans can use the same benefits – free voicecalls and telegrams – at their local Russian Post locations that have the necessary equipment.
