The development of the IT field and improvement of regional higher education in the computer-related fields was in the focus of the meeting between the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev and the chairman of the State Duma committee on information policy, information technologies and communications, deputy for “A Just Russia” party faction, expert of the APF Headquarters Leonid Levin at the regional government hall on Thursday, June 2.

“We realize that no branch of economy can do away without the IT, which is why the Penza region government provides additional funding to support this field, creates the conditions for IT business development, setting up seminars and forums where guest experts are able to share their experience with our computer professionals,” Ivan Belozertsev pointed out.

In addition, the region pays great attention to staffing the IT education, he added.

“Nowadays, a good teacher simply must be able to learn on his own to keep up with his students and the time, to know and wield new ways to set up the education process,” said the head of the region.

Moreover, Leonid Levin and the State Duma deputy Sergei Yesyakov will be discussing the topic in question during the June 2 session of the gubernatorial supreme economic council, which also will be taking place on Thursday, the press service of the Penza region government informed PenzaNews.
