In Penza Rostelecom holds World of Tanks tournament for first time
Penza, 27 October 2017. PenzaNews. The first e-sports tournament "Tanks in the city", which had been organized by the company Rostelecom, based on the multiplayer game World of Tanks was held in the cyber club New Wave in Penza.

Over 40 gamers including students of the faculty of computer science of Penza State University competed for the title of the best players.
The only girl among them was the student of Penza State University of Architecture and Construction Zarina Zolotova.
Cyber tankmen competed in the individual events. During 3.5 hours, year player held five fights.
Everyone could follow the tournament thanks to a video broadcast held in the Rostelecom's community on the social network Vkotankte. The course of the competition was commented and assessed by professional experts-gamers.
In the breaks between the fights, there was organized an entertainment programme with contests and quizzes. In addition, fans and participants of the event could take photos at a stylized photo zone.
The winners of the tournament were Pavel Balandin, Mikhail Krasyukov and Dmitry Kurdenkov. They received certificates and special prizes from Rostelecom and other participant were presented with gifts.
According to one of the tournament participants Denis Zinchenko, who had been playing World of Tanks for three years, he was very pleased to participate in the tournament.
"It is a wonderful ground for making new acquaintances with fans of the virtual game and an ability to compete for prizes in real time having absolutely equal conditions for competition. Thank you Rostelecom for a good level of organization. I will definitely wait for the next tournament," he said.
In turn, the press secretary of the Penza branch of PJSC "Rostelecom" Alexei Makarov added that as one of the leaders of Internet access the company took active part in popularization of e-sports, which had officially become a sport in 2016.
"In addition, we develop products that focus on gamers in the first place. Thus, by connecting to the tariff plan ‘Gaming’, ardent fans of World of Tanks will get a high-speed Internet access as well as a number of advantages for the game – an elite Soviet tank of the 8th level T-44-100, three unique camouflages, the skill ‘Combat Brotherhood’ and a slot in a hangar," he explained.

The hero of the most outstanding image, which will be selected by members of the community, will receive a special prize – a universal Power Bank with a torch and a car starting function.
