Penza, 5 February 2016. PenzaNews. A total of 1,783 people have passed away in the Penza region over January 2016, preliminary reports say.

According to information published on the website of the regional Health Ministry, this is 6.7% less than a year ago month-to-month.

In particular, 22 people succumbed to pneumonia since the beginning of the 2015-2016 epidemic season after the flu vaccination period in the Penza region.

The regional Health Ministry holds weekly task force sessions to analyze reasons behind the deaths and quality of medical services in therapy offices.
