The machine already has been installed and tested, and the staff underwent an operations training course.

On March 8, the radiologists and engineering physicists of the oncology treatment center began a training course with an expert from Canada, which will last until March 11.

The new machine is a fully integrated treatment system that allows to subject patients to high-precision radiation treatment techniques such as radiosurgery and stereotactic therapy.

“It helps plan and conduct external beam therapy for oncology patients using cutting-edge techniques. The machine allows maximum precision when targeting the tumor,” the press service of the regional Health Ministry quotes the head of the oncology treatment center.
