During the summary event, 11 technical and design engineers of the four cluster enterprises – “Endokarbon,” “Nanomed,” “MedIntell” and “Enspiromed” – presented and defended their projects.

Following that, qualified experts of the company “Askon” rewarded them with certificates of completion after the two-week study course.

The summary event also served to present the medical devices by Penza enterprises – cutting-edge developments in Russian medicine.

As a result, the engineers shown themselves to be capable of organizing a full production cycle of a medical device, from software prototyping, to hard copy prototyping and mass production.

“The Center of Cluster Development has been working in the Penza region for five years. It aims to unite the companies by their fields to make them achieve higher results in their areas together. […] The companies proposed at the cluster board session to hold an education course for their personnel to improve their software 3D prototyping skills,” explained Pavel Udalov, head of the Innovation Policy Management Department in the regional Industry Ministry.

The now completed course was only the first stage in the education curriculum, he noted.

“The second stage will be held in April, when other staff members of cluster enterprises will also gain skills to work in this program, but in a much less broad form, focused on producing certain type of cluster products, more advanced ones,” Pavel Udalov clarified.

In his opinion, this form of cooperation between the companies seeking to improve qualifications of their staff and the Center of Cluster Development has proven to be effective.

“We will be organizing one more education course for instrumentation cluster enterprises in this area – Kompas-3D prototyping – in the nearest future,” Pavel Udalov stressed.
