Penza regional children’s hospital receives new fetal monitors

Penza, 4 August 2016. PenzaNews. The Filatov Penza children’s clinical hospital received new fetal monitors that allow doctors to observe the state of a fetus before the birth.

The new devices are made in Russia by RPT UNIKOS.
According to Nikolai Fedoseev, head of the obstetric department for the Filatov children’s clinical hospital, the monitors are notable for accuracy of measurements and building the fetus status curve automatically, thus eliminating the human factor in errors.
“Obviously, this is a great advantage. Most importantly, this allows us to make further decisions on pregnancy or birth if any deviations in the fetus are discovered,” he noted.
The additional fetal monitors allowed the hospital to expand the number of patients to undergo fetal cardiotocography at the same time, the press service of the regional Health Ministry informed PenzaNews.
