Penza, 24 September 2016. PenzaNews. The installation “Tree of Penza Residents’ Hearts” will be created as a part of the campaign “Say ‘Yes!’ to healthy heart,” which to be held in the fairgrounds “Krasnye Kholmy” on Thursday, September 29.

From 10.00 to 12.00, in the framework of the World Heart Day, the doctors of the Penza regional center of medical prevention in cooperation with experts of city hospitals will examine the action participants to identify risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.

All participants of the event will be offered to measure blood pressure, elevated levels of which is a major risk factor for many diseases.

The measurement results will be used to create the installation “Tree of Penza Residents’ Hearts.”

As the press service of the regional Ministry of Health told PenzaNews, 30% of participants had high blood pressure in 2015.

“In the Penza region in 8 months of 2016, cardiovascular diseases killed 7,373 people, accounting for 57% of all mortality cause. This is by 7.7% less than in the same period of 2015,” the department added.
