Penza, 19 November 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region joined the All-Russian “Stop HIV/AIDS” action that will be held from November 28 till December 4.

Its maim goals are prevention of HIV spread among young people and development of safety and health protection culture within young population.

“During 10 months of the 2016 year, 331 new cases of HIV infection were registered, the HIV incidence reached 25.6 cases per 100,000. In the 2015 year during the same period of time, there were 332 cases of HIV infection and the HIV incidence amounted to 24.9 cases per 100,000,” the regional Ministry of Health told PenzaNews

The office said that anyone can turn to the AIDS centre of the regional clinical center of specialized medical care to find out his HIV status.

“Everyone who cares about health can turn to the room of the HIV infection pre-testing consultation and take a blood test in the AIDS Centre from 8.00 till 18.00,” the office added.
