Department of ophthalmology opened in railroad hospital in Penza

Penza, 27 January 2017. PenzaNews. The department of ophthalmology with day patient department for 60 patients was opened at the premises of the non-governmental healthcare organization "Regional clinical hospital at Penza station of JSC 'RZhD'" within the joint project of public and private partnership.

During the opening ceremony, which was held on Thursday, January 26, the deputy chairman of the Penza region Legislative Assembly Vyacheslav Kosmachev said that this event is of great importance for the region.
"Ophthalmologic help is on the high level in the region and the opening of the day patient department shows that we do everything so that modern ophthalmologic technologies reach every citizen, in particular, we take care of elderly people, who should by all means receive this help," he said.
In turn, the minister of health of the Penza region Vladimir Stryuchkov noted that this area of healthcare is one of those that has a set order of planned medical treatment provision, and that is why the department opening was very timely.
"Even now [...] we are making an order for over 2,000 cured people. 60 beds of the day patient department let us solve the problem of queuing: at present, the queue equals to about 6 months," he noted expressing his confidence that the volume of the government task for the establishment will be increased.
