Penza, 30 January 2017. PenzaNews. The preventive action "Day of oncologist" will be held in medical institutions of the Penza region on the World Cancer Day, which is celebrated on Saturday, February 4.

Within the framework of this action, oncologists will receive patients.

Doors open day will be held in the regional oncology dispensary clinic. Participants of the action will be able to have appointments with oncologists and hematologists.

According to the chief doctor of the Penza regional oncology dispensary Vitaly Serebryakov, the main aim of the World Cancer Day is to attract public attention to this problem and to remind about the danger of cancer.

"We will hold the doors open day in our medical institution in order to teach citizens of the Penza region how to provide first specialized medical aid, and to ensure detection of malignant tumors at visible locations including skin and breast cancer," he explained.

As it was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health, it will be possible to make an appointment with a doctor through the Internet or by calling the registry.
