Penza, 15 February 2017. PenzaNews. The reserve of the medicine for treatment of HIV-infected people in the Penza region will be enough for half a year. This was reported by the assistant chief medical officer at the Penza dedicated clinical medical assistance centre, an expert in the field of HIV/AIDS fight Sergei Oleynik commenting on the data of popular science educational project of the fund "AIDS.Centre", according to which the situation in the region is critical due to the lack of the required medicine.

"The reserve of the medicine for treatment of HIV-infected people in the Penza region will be enough for half a year. There were no interruptions in medicine supply to the Penza region, and I hope we will not have any," he said on Wednesday, February 15.
According to him, no cases of refusal of treatment provision and medicine distribution were registered in the region.
Sergei Oleynik explained that in 2016 the needed medicine was bought at the expense of the Penza region budget, and in half a year the region will receive the medicine bought at the expense of the federal budget.
"The issue of deficit was solved much earlier than it was actually touched upon," he noted.
