Vyacheslav Volodin examines ambulances and talks to medical staff in Penza

Penza, 25 February 2017. PenzaNews. The head of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, who was on a working visit in Penza, and the governor Ivan Belozertsev examined new ambulances received by the region last year and talked to drivers and medical staff during the visit to the central station of first medical aid in Pionerskaya street.

As it was noted during the conversation, thanks to the support of the State Duma speaker, the number of ambulance cars in the region increased by 48 units. All of them were granted to substations that provide medical assistance to the population of Penza regions, which allowed reducing the time needed to get to a location of an emergency call. The total time of waiting does not exceed 20 minutes. 88% of the region medical institutions can provide such speed of arrival, while the federal standard is 86%. In 2-3 years, it is planned to reach 100%.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, the issue of the emergency service functioning can be solved if the region receives 50 ambulance cars more.
"It will be good help to the region, and very important help to its residents," the press service of the regional government quotes Vyacheslav Volodin.

The governor Ivan Belozertsev thanked the head of the State Duma of the Russian Federation for support and expressed his confidence in the realization of the outlined plans.
