Penza, 13 April 2017. PenzaNews. The 4th interregional forum of medical products manufacturers InnoMed-2017 started at the premises of the high-technology park "Rameev" in Penza on Thursday, April 13.

Before the official start of the event, honorary guests had an opportunity to get acquainted with the production of high-tech medical goods. The board chairman of the cluster "Biomed", the executive director of the JSC "MedInzh" Sergei Evdokimov conducted an excursion for the guests.

In particular, the forum participants examined the areas engaged in the production of coronary stents and joint implants, as well as "clean rooms" of the high-technology park.

The deputy minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Sergei Tsyb asked where the companies purchase materials for high-tech products. When it was found out that materials are mostly delivered from abroad, the deputy head of the department promised to raise this issue at the federal level in order to analyze the ability of local enterprises to satisfy the need of Penza producers.

After that, the honorary guests moved to the building where an exhibition-presentation of projects in the field of medical and pharmaceutical industries that united 18 companies from 10 regions of Russia was conducted.

The host party at the exhibition was represented by "MedInzh", Penza Extension Course Institute for Medical Practitioners, Penza State University, Penza State Technological University, LLC "Parapharm", LLC "TitanMed", LLC "Implant", and JC "Operator of electronic government".

During the opening ceremony of the forum, the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev noted that the region has all prerequisites for the development of biomedical cluster, the products of which are known in Russia as well as abroad.

"It is very important that representatives of other regions and foreign companies that produce medical goods necessary for our citizens while performing different operations came to the Penza region," he said.

The governor added that within the import substitution line local enterprises receive new opportunities, which they should not lose.

In turn, the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Sergei Tsyb drew attention to the fact that the Penza forum InnoMed-2017 earned a great reputation at the Russian and international levels.

"It was agreed with Ivan Alexeevich [Belozertsev] that in future we will develop the forum even more in terms of the involvement of new regions, medical specialists, representatives of industrial companies both from Russia and other countries. I think that the forum became a meeting place for colleagues from the fields of the medical science and production," he said.

The deputy minister stressed that the Penza region plays a key role in the realization of the state programme on the development of pharmaceutical and medical industry.

It is planned that three sessions will work during the forum: "The procedure of providing medical care to patients with cardiovascular diseases", "Import, export, and localization of medical production in Russian Federation: issues and options", and "Mechanisms of state support for medical products manufacturers. Potentialities of development institutions".
