Governor: Perinatal centre in Penza will begin to work in October 2017

Penza, 23 June 2017. PenzaNews. The perinatal centre designed for 103 beds, which will soon be constructed in the territory of the Burdenko Penza regional hospital, is planned to be opened in October 2017. The governor Ivan Belozertsev reported this to the head of the Ministry of Health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova, who visited the object under construction on Friday, June 23.

"It is planned that the centre will be opened and begin to work on October 1 of the current year," the head of the region specified.
Ivan Belozertsev noted that the perinatal centre, which is acquiring a completed form, would meet all modern requirements.
"I would like to thank the President of the Russian Federation [Vladimir Putin], and personally you for making the decision to build a perinatal centre in the territory of our region. Our region with the population of 1,340,000 people needs a perinatal centre," the governor said.
In addition, he thanked Tatyana Yakovleva, deputy head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, for construction supervision and assistance in dealing with current issues.
According to Ivan Belozertsev, there were some difficulties in the facility construction, but by the moment, it became possible to find decisions that would allow meeting the deadline for putting the centre into operation.
