Incidence of tuberculosis decreases in Penza region

Penza, 25 October 2017. PenzaNews. Incidence of tuberculosis over nine months of the year 2017 decreased in the Penza region by 21% compared to an analogous period of the previous year.

As it was reported on the website of the regional research and information centre, altogether 288 cases of tuberculosis were registered over this period.

The morbidity rate equalled to 21.5 per 100,000 population.

In Penza 93 cases of tuberculosis were registered, the morbidity rate amounted to 17.8 per 100,000 population.

The highest morbidity rate was registered in Zemetchinsky, Kolysheisky, and Maloserdobinsky areas – 37.8, 34 and 33.8 respectively.
