"Highly qualified specialists who underwent training in federal simulation centres in Ivanovo and Saint-Petersburg help babies to come into the world. One of them is the head of the childbirth department Nikolai Fedoseev," the department said adding that during 18 years over 24,000 babies had been born with the help of the doctor.

The press service reminded that it was planned that about 4,500 babies would be delivered annually.

As it was reported before, the perinatal centre for 130 beds had been put into operation in the territory of the Burdenko Penza regional hospital on November 23, 2017.

The institution will help to implement a multilevel system of medical support for pregnant women who according to doctors can give birth only when receiving high-technology assistance.
