Penza, 26 December 2017. PenzaNews. Governor Ivan Belozertsev said that the commissioning of the perinatal centre for 130 beds in the territory of the Burdenko Penza regional hospital was the main event of 2017 in the Penza region.

"It is really great. The perinatal centre is very important for us," he said at the big press conference that was held in the regional government on Tuesday, December 26.

The governor reminded that in order to finish the construction of the modern medical institution a number of problematic issues had to be solved.

The All-Russian Sabantuy festival, which was held in the village of Srednyaya Elyuzan, and opening of four new schools were rated by Ivan Belozertsev as less significant but still important events of the Penza region.
