Penza, 22 January 2018. PenzaNews. Computer tomographs that have operated in medical institutions of the Penza region for a long time are planned to be changed. This was reported by the deputy minister of health Oksana Chizhova.

"Tomographs in primary vascular divisions break down from time to time because they were purchased about 10 years ago. [...] Sometimes we have to change destination routing [of patients]," she explained at the action meeting in the regional government on Monday, January 22.

Oksana Chizhova specified that at the moment only one of 17 devices is out of order – it is located in Nizhny Lomov.

In turn, governor Ivan Belozertsev instructed to find out what is necessary to repair the expensive equipment idle due to breakage.

"Analyse all the tomographs, ask what their condition is, how effective they work. [...] By the end of the week provide me with the information on how many patients were examined on the tomographs over the last year," the head of the region said.
