Penza cluster Biomed finds new customers at international congress

Penza, 22 May 2018. PenzaNews. The enterprises of the Penza cluster Biomed participated in the Moscow's International Congress on Endovascular Surgery "TCT Russia – 2018".

The event brought together 1,500 professionals from 36 countries.
The participants discussed relevant issues of endovascular diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Prof. Renat Akchurin spoke at the session on hybrid treatment of aortic heart valve presenting successful experience of heart valve prosthetics using transapical delivery method of three producers including JSC NPP MedInzh (Penza).
There was an exhibition held in the framework of the congress, where international and Russian companies-developers, producers and distributors of implants, consumable materials and equipment for X-ray surgery were represented.
The Penza stand featured products of the enterprises MedInzh, LLC Nanomed and LLC Cardioplant. It was visited by members of the medical community, healthcare institutions from 16 regions of Russia as well as from two medical centres in the USA.
Representatives of cluster enterprises conducted negotiations with partner companies and distributors – Nordgroup, Invamed, Exten Medical, Vlaant, Omega, and MegatorgMed.
According to the manager advisor for economic issues of the company Andrei Koshkin, new developments of the cluster, in particular, the coronary drug-coated stent of an improved design, which was presented in a large format, enjoyed particular interest.
He noted that specialists had also paid attention to the new heart valve prosthesis with the transapical delivery system "MedLab-СT" which is used in the framework of the latest method of aortic valve replacement.
"The participation in such a large-scale event allowed us to obtain new relationships for promotion of our products, as well as to improve their quality according to wishes of the Russian and international medical community," Andrei Koshkin said.
The presence of the enterprises at the congress was organised by the Business Support Centre of the Penza region, the participation in the exhibition and the business program was provided by the Cluster Development Centre.
