Two-day forum InnoMed-2018 starts in Penza

Penza, 7 June 2018. PenzaNews. The fifth all-Russian forum of medical equipment manufacturers InnoMed-2018 started in the high-tech park Rameev in Penza on Thursday, June 7.

As it was noted by governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev, the feature of the event that year was the opening of an enterprise for the production of medical equipment for traumatology and orthopaedics.

The head of the region drew attention to the fact that the sphere actively developed in the Penza region largely thanks to Biomed, which was included in the register of industrial clusters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

"This enables us to look to the future optimistically, to engage in modern, high technology developments and of course to produce medical equipment that is in high demand nowadays not only in the Russian Federation but also in many western countries," Ivan Belozertsev said.

In turn, director of the Department for the Development of Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Alexei Alyokhin said that he was looking forward to productive communication with representative of the sphere during the business programme of the forum.

"You know we are facing a complicated task – we should increase export of manufactured products manyfold. [...] Currently we are thinking about ways to help our companies to gain a foothold on these markets," he noted.

The opening of the forum featured a ceremony of signing agreements.

One of them – a cooperation agreement in order to create favourable conditions for the development of medical industry – was signed by chairman of the board of directors of the specialized organization under the industrial cluster of the Penza region BioMed "Resource Centre of Support to Cluster Initiatives" Mikhail Lyashkov and general director of the association of organizations of military-industrial complex – manufacturers of medical products and equipment Alexander Smirnov.

Then, head of LLC TitanMed Andrei Zhupikov signed four protocols of intent with one foreign and three Russian partners.

The 5th all-Russian forum InnoMed was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Penza region government, the regional Ministry of Industry, the Union of Associations of Enterprises of Medical Industry (Rosmedprom), the Association of Organizations of Military-Industrial Complex – Manufacturers of Medical Products and Equipment, JSC Technopark of High Technologies, LLC Cluster Development Centre, Penza State University and the engineering and production cluster BioMed.

The programme of the event is scheduled for two days – June 7 and 8.

There is an exhibition organized in the framework of the forum, where innovative developments of domestic industry as well as foreign companies are displayed. The Penza region is represented by over 30 projects.

The business programme includes consideration of a number of relevant issues of the industry, such as training of staff, registration of medical products and their export.

One of the key events of the forum is the two-day international scientific-practical conference Innomed-Ortho on the topic "New technologies in traumatology and orthopaedics: from scientific idea to production in Russia".

It is also planned to hold lectures, seminars, workshops and visits to companies.
