Penza, 17 November 2018. PenzaNews. Educational courses called "School of psychologists" will be organized at the premises of the perinatal centre for families with premature children. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.

The department noted that the need was caused by the fact that care of such children and their upbringing requires special knowledge, skills, patience, persistence, and responsibility of both physicians and parents.

"Every year about 15 million babies in the world are born premature, which makes up on average every tenth child. In the Penza region, this figure is about 600 babies annually. A child born before 37-38 weeks of pregnancy weighing less than 2.5 kg is considered premature," the press service added.
