Penza, 16 January 2019. PenzaNews. A case of carried measles was registered in the Penza region during New Year holidays and winter school holidays. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor).

According to the agency, the patient came from Ukraine.

Anti-epidemic measures were carried out. Exposed persons are monitored.

In general, the epidemiological situation in the Penza region during the holidays was stable.

The incidence of acute intestinal infections was 9.9 per 100,000 population, community-acquired pneumonia – 5.6 angina – 0.7, which corresponds to the usual situation for this period of time.
