Penza, 3 September 2019. PenzaNews. The first batch of Sovigrippe and Flu-M vaccines for adult immunization against influenza was delivered to the Penza region. This was said by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.

"The vaccination campaign for adults will begin at the end of the week, after the vaccine has been distributed to medical organizations," the ministry explained, adding that immunization of children had already been carried out.

According to Galina Rozhkova, head of the Department of Health Protection, Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare under the Ministry of Health of the Penza region, more than 138,000 children and 602,000 adults, including 2,000 pregnant women, are to be vaccinated within the national calendar; other sources of funding will be used to vaccinate 34,000 people in "risk groups".
