High-tech medical care for 1 billion roubles provided in Penza region

Penza, 16 October 2019. PenzaNews. Healthcare institutions of the Penza region provided high-tech medical care worth over 1 billion roubles under the compulsory health insurance programme for the first nine months of 2019. This was said by the regional medical care insurance fund.

According to the foundation, the assistance was received by 5,876 people.
Most high-tech operations were performed at the Federal Centre for Cardiovascular Surgery, where 2,287 patients were treated. 1,534 people received medical help at the Burdenko Penza Regional Clinical Hospital, and 1,490 people were treated at the Oncological Dispensary.
Under the territorial compulsory medical insurance programme, assistance has been provided to insured persons in the fields of cardiovascular surgery, traumatology and orthopaedics, urology, endocrinology, oncology and others.
Some residents of the Penza region had high-technology-involving operations made outside the region. 1,972 people took advantage of this opportunity under the obligatory medical insurance policy. The cost of treatment exceeded 313 million roubles.
According to the regional medical care insurance fund, the volume of high-tech medical care has increased from 6,816 cases to 8,090 cases compared to 2018, and the financial support has increased by almost 292 million roubles.
