The new building with an area of more than 2,000 square meters is located in the territory of the regional clinical blood centre in Klary Tsetkin Street – in close proximity to the one where the work was conducted earlier.
Vladimir Uiba, the head of the Federal Biomedical Agency of Russia, was among the guests of honour. He noted that there were only four such modules in Russia.
The building houses the Donor Staffing Department, the Blood Collection and Quality Control Department, the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory, field teams and an expedition with the Inventory Control Centre.
It is expected that the commissioning of the facility will allow for the introduction of advanced technologies in the institution.
