Penza, 10 January 2020. PenzaNews. Ten cases of measles were registered in Penza region in 2019. This was reported by the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor).

"The disease incidence was registered in four administrative territories," the agency explained, specifying that four cases were revealed in Penza, the same number – in Neverkinsky area, and one in each Kameshkirsky and Gorodishchensky areas.

The department added that among the diseased there were two children aged 5 and 10, as well as eight adults from 22 to 42 years old.

"The major part of measles cases – that is 6 or 60% – was registered among the unvaccinated," Rospotrebnadzor said.
