Number of children with cancer in Penza region named

Penza, 15 February 2020. PenzaNews. 191 children under the age of 14 were registered in the Penza region in 2018 due to the presence of malignant neoplasm. This was reported in a statement issued by the press service of Penzastat on the occasion of the International Childhood Cancer Day, which is celebrated on February 15.

It adds that in 2017 there were fewer children under 14 years of age with cancer – 181 people, and the data for 2019 is not yet summarized.
"In 2018, the predominant forms of cancer in children fallen ill for the first time were malignant tumours of lymphatic and hematopoietic tissues making up 62.5%," the press release specifies.
The text explains that neoplasms were detected in 924 children under 14 years of age, including malignant ones in 32.
