More than 300 people tested for coronavirus in Penza region
Penza, 16 March 2020. PenzaNews. 307 people have been tested for a new coronavirus infection in Penza region since February 20, 2020. This was reported by head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor Mikhail Perekusikhin at a press conference held at the regional government on Monday, March 16.

He explained that even after 14 days of quarantine, individuals with symptoms of infection remained under the control of medical staff until two negative coronavirus results were obtained.
"There were 403 people on cumulative medical monitoring, 358 of them were citizens of the Russian Federation," the head of the department said.
Mikhail Perekusikhin specified that 162 people remained under medical supervision that day, including 50 who had come from countries with an adverse coronavirus situation.
According to the head of the regional department, patients with suspected coronavirus infection, as well as the closest contact persons are hospitalized to the Penza Regional Clinical Centre for Special Medical Care that has departments with isolation wards.
"Reserve in-patient hospital departments for hospitalization of patients with viral infections and community-acquired pneumonia are located at clinical hospital No. 4 – 250 beds – and the hospital for war veterans – 238 beds," he noted.
