Penza, 18 March 2020. PenzaNews. No new cases of coronavirus infection were identified in Penza region. This was announced by Minister of Health of the region Alexander Nikishin, reporting to Governor Ivan Belozertsev about the situation regarding the spread of the disease as of Wednesday morning, March 18.

"No new cases of infection or disease from coronaviruses have been detected," he said.

Alexander Nikishin noted that in Penza region there was a decrease in cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza.

Commenting on the condition of the patient hospitalized in Penza with the novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019), he explained that the woman felt well.

“In the morning the body temperature was normal. Lung saturation is high. [...] There is a positive tendency towards recovery,” the minister said.
