The number of people who had recently had contact with a 77-year-old Penza resident hospitalized with novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) increased from 87 to 168. This was said by spokeswoman of the governor and government of Penza region Dina Cheremushkina on Wednesday, March 25.

“Here is latest information. There are two sick people. For the second patient, the number of contact persons increased to 168," she said.

Dina Cheremushkina noted that a total of 891 people were under medical supervision.

“1 712 people have been examined from the beginning of the observations,” she explained, adding that 1 949 studies on coronavirus had been carried out.
