Penza, 26 March 2020. PenzaNews. Novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019), according to preliminary data, was detected in Penza in three other women. This was said by spokeswoman of the governor and government of the region Dina Cheremushkina.

"The tests have been sent to the reference centre to confirm [the diagnosis]," she explained.

Dina Cheremushkina clarified that the primary positive result had been obtained from a survey of women aged 59, 70 and 77 years old who had contacted with a 77-year-old pensioner who had previously contracted COVID-19.

She recalled that the diagnosis was confirmed in two residents of the region.

"There are only 1 394 people under surveillance. 300 people were taken off it," informed the press secretary of the Governor and the government of Penza region.
