Penza, 30 March 2020. PenzaNews. All seven people hospitalized in Penza region with novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) are residents of Penza. This follows from a message posted on the regional government’s website on Monday, March 30.

It recalls that the first patient was 53 years old: a circle of people in contact with her was identified, which included 244 people, all of them were examined, tests for coronavirus did not give positive results.

The report adds that the second patient with COVID-19 is a retired woman at the age of 77, among whose friends the diagnosis was confirmed in five people.

"All of them are Penza residents," the text runs.

It specifies that the total number of contact persons established for this focus is 987 people; epidemiological investigation continues.
