In Penza region number of cases of coronavirus infection reaches 51

Penza, 7 April 2020. PenzaNews. The number of people infected with novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) has increased in Penza region from 32 to 51. This was said by spokeswoman of the governor and government of the region Dina Cheremushkina on Tuesday, April 7.

"We received the results of the tests of 19 people, which were sent earlier this week to the reference centre [to confirm the diagnosis]" she explained.

According to Dina Cheremushkina, patients are between 29 and 81 years old.

“Most of them are over 60,” said the spokeswoman for the governor and government of Penza region.

She specified that two people were still connected to artificial lung ventilation.
