Penza, 10 April 2020. PenzaNews. More than 9 000 people were tested in Penza region for novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) as of Friday, April 10. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor).

7 624 people were tested for coronavirus in the virology laboratory of the Federal State Health Institution “Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Penza Region", 8 149 studies were conducted. 1 438 people were examined and 1 615 studies were conducted in the laboratories of the medical network," the text specifies.

It notes that by the number of tests carried out per 1 000 people Penza region is among the top 10 regions of the Russian Federation.

"Laboratories have enough test kits to diagnose novel coronavirus infection," the message stresses.
