Penza, 5 May 2020. PenzaNews. About 38 000 people were tested in Penza region for novel coronavirus infection COVID-19. This is stated in the message distributed by the press service of the regional government on Tuesday, May 5.

“The virology laboratory of the Federal State Health Institution ‘Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Penza Region’ examined 20 090 people and carried out 20 908 tests," the text specifies.

It adds that laboratories of the medical network examined 17 701 people, and carried out 19 017 studies.

As PenzaNews reported earlier, as of 10.35 on Tuesday, May 5, 569 cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in Penza region, 193 people recovered, eight patients died.
