Penza, 17 May 2020. PenzaNews. More than 58 000 tests for novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 were conducted in Penza region. This is stated in a message distributed by the press service of the regional government on Sunday, May 17.

“The virology laboratory of the Federal State Health Institution ‘Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Penza Region’ examined 25 490 people and carried out 26 384 tests; the laboratories of the medical network examined 29 798 people, and carried out 31 803 studies," the text specifies.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, more than 6.9 million laboratory tests for novel coronavirus were conducted in the country as a whole.
