Penza, 14 May 2020. PenzaNews. 52 566 tests for novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 were conducted in Penza region. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor) on Thursday, May 14.

“The virology laboratory of the Federal State Health Institution ‘Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Penza Region’ examined 24 089 people and carried out 24 943 tests; the laboratories of the medical network examined 25 821 people, and carried out 27 623 studies," the text specifies.

It adds that, according to the latest data, 924 cases of infection with coronavirus were registered in Penza region, including 45 confirmed in the last 24 hours.
