Penza, 20 May 2020. PenzaNews. 72 new cases of coronavirus infection COVID-19 were registered in Penza region within the last 24 hours, 83 people recovered. This is evidenced by the data of the communication centre under the government of Russia, relevant at 10.35 on Wednesday, May 20.

A total of 1 317 cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed in the region. The total number of recovered people is 944. Twelve patients died during the entire period.

In Russia, 308 705 cases of infection with novel coronavirus have been recorded, including the diagnosis of 8 764 people confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Over the entire period, 85 392 people recovered in the country, 9 262 of them recovered in the past 24 hours.

The number of deaths increased to 2 972, 135 patients died within a day.
