Penza, 29 May 2020. PenzaNews. More than 80 000 tests for novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 were conducted in Penza region. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor) on Thursday, May 29.

“The virology laboratory of the Federal State Health Institution ‘Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Penza Region’ examined 31 084 people and carried out 31 981 tests; the laboratories of the medical network examined 44 941 people, and carried out 48 234 studies," the text specifies.

It recalls that 2 155 cases of COVID-19 infection were laboratory confirmed in Penza region, 89 of which were registered during the last 24 hours.
