Penza, 2 June 2020. PenzaNews. More than 88 000 tests for novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 were conducted in Penza region. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor).

“The virology laboratory of the Federal State Health Institution ‘Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Penza Region’ examined 32 894 people and carried out 33 899 tests; the laboratories of the medical network examined 50 525 people, and carried out 54 391 studies," the text specifies.

It adds that as of June 2, 2 502 cases of infection with coronavirus were laboratory confirmed, including 85 cases in the last 24 hours.
