The number of deceased patients with novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 increased in Penza region to 56 people – two lethal outcomes were registered in the last 24 hours. This is evidenced by the data of the communication centre under the government of Russia, relevant at 10.35 on Thursday, July 9.

70 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the region. During the whole period 5 628 cases were registered.

The total number of people who recovered in Penza region is 5 061, 79 people were discharged during the last day.

In Russia, 707 301 cases of COVID-19 infection were registered, including 6 509 confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Over the entire period, 481 316 people recovered in the country, including 8 805 - during the past 24 hours.

The number of deaths increased to 10 843, including 176 deaths registered over the day.
