“Penza region was among the first 35 regions to sign an agreement with the Russian Ministry of Health to receive 1 127 COVID-19 vaccines,” the agency said.

The press service added that vaccination of health workers and teachers was planned first, while vaccination was voluntary.

“On October 6, the first stage of vaccination against coronavirus infection was held for four employees of the State Budgetary Institution City Polyclinic and four medical workers of the Penza Regional Clinical Centre for Specialized Types of Medical Care,” the Ministry of Health explained.

The agency specified that the second stage of vaccination of these employees would take place in 21 days.
