Penza, 31 October 2020. PenzaNews. Funds in the amount of 15 715 000 roubles will be allocated to Penza region from the federal budget in 2020 to equip medical organisations carrying out etiological diagnostics of novel coronavirus infection with methods of nucleic acid amplification.

The distribution of funds in the amount of more than 1 billion roubles between 84 constituent entities of the Russian Federation was approved by the order of the Russian government No. 2806-r, which was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Money for this purpose was allocated from the government's reserve fund.

Federal funding is expected to equip laboratories with specialized equipment to conduct research using highly sensitive diagnostic methods, which will increase the coverage of the population with testing, as well as improve its accuracy.
