Penza, 23 November 2020. PenzaNews. 15 458 cases of community-acquired pneumonia were registered in Penza region since March 2020. This was stated in a message published on the website of the regional government on Monday, November 23.

“Of these, 4 172 cases of pneumonia were caused by COVID-19,” says the text.

It adds that the largest number of cases of community-acquired pneumonia was registered in Tamalinsky, Belinsky, Bashmakovsky, Maloserdobinsky, Serdobsky, Kolyshleysky, Lopatinsky, Bessonovsky, Nizhnelomovsky areas, as well as in Penza and Kuznetsk.

Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Penza region reported that in January-September 2020, 237 people died of pneumonia in the region, including 65 those of working age.
