Plasauto Sigma multifunctional system for renal replacement therapy and therapeutic plasmapheresis worth 5 million roubles, which was purchased at the expense of the Penza region budget, was delivered to the oncological dispensary. This was stated in a message of the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.

“The extracorporeal hemocorrection procedure can be vital for oncological patients in the intensive care unit, when they develop various pathological conditions that cannot be dealt with in other ways,” the text says.

It adds that besides renal replacement therapy and plasmapheresis the device allows for selective procedures of cascade plasma filtration, plasma adsorption, liver support and immunosorption.
